Many people are drawn to saltwater fish tanks because of the diverse and colorful fish and creatures that can now be successfully maintained in a home aquarium. Some may have had experience with freshwater tanks, others are new to the hobby all together. Regardless of your aquarium experience level, there are certain things that you should know, if you want to have a beautiful, low maintenance tank.
A successful tank, just like many other things in life, requires planning. Sure you can buy a tank, throw in some fish, and call it good, but the results may be less than you had hoped for.
The most important thing to do is plan for the needs of the fish or creatures you intend to keep in the tank. Each will have their own specific needs that must be met to insure their survival.
